What would a Florida pool party be without some fun in the sun, poolside grilling, and an exciting game of Saturday College Football? To strengthen the bond between the brothers of the Delta Delta Chapter and the current pledge class, the Pledge Social Committee hosted a pool party earlier this semester. The timing of the pool party was perfect - following Big-Little Reveal Week, it allowed the littles to spend some quality time with their big brothers outside of school.
The 2016 Pledge Class takes food very seriously. The pledges cooked up a delectable lunch for all attendees, including hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, accompanied by a topping bar and variety of sides. The large poolside allowed brothers and pledges to feast, mingle, and watch the Vanderbilt vs. Florida football game. We celebrated as the Florida Gators took home the win, scoring 13 points, while Vanderbilt Commodores scored a measly 6 points.
In the pool, brothers and pledges swam, tanned, and competed in a thrilling game of volleyball while listening to summer-vibe music. Volleyball teams were intermixed with brothers and pledges so that we could bond in a fun and competitive game. It was our first event as a pledge class with many brothers and pledges in attendance, and was a smashing success. As a pledge class, we will continue to put our best efforts towards hosting fun events that strengthen our brotherhood.
